Sharon has spent the last ten years (2006-2016) as an environmental educator for the Canandaigua Lake Watershed Association. In those ten years, with hands-on and active engagement, she educated nearly 18,000 students on the importance of environmental stewardship. Sharon has a BA in Psychology and a Masters Degree in Teaching, and currently works as a First Grade teacher. Sharon is an accomplished endurance athlete, with years of experience competing in triathlons, ultra marathons, and multi-day adventure races. She is well known in local communities for her volunteerism with the National Multiple Sclerosis Society (honored in 2013 as “Volunteer on the Move”), cancer survivors support and cancer research charities (2011 Kilimanjaro climb for cancer).
