Jeanne has a long history working with children. She and her husband were certified foster parents for adolescents and teens for 5 years and for numerous summers, they participated in the Fresh Air Fund welcoming 5 different children from New York City to stay at their home in the country for 2 week time periods. Being a mother of 2 college aged daughters has also provided her with invaluable experience!
Jeanne received a BS from SUNY Geneseo and a Master’s degree from Nazareth College as a Teacher of the Speech and Hearing Handicapped. Her 30 year career as a Licensed Speech-Language Pathologist began as a BOCES employee working with 5-21 year old students who had a variety of disabilities. Since 1994, Jeanne has been working in the Livonia Central School District helping students in grades K-5 improve their receptive/expressive and social language skills. She has been a committed member of the backstage crew during the High School Musicals and has volunteered her time at the Special Olympics as a coach. In addition to being an environmentally conscientious vegetarian, Jeanne loves to kickbox, roadride, cross country ski, hike, fat tire bike and spend time with her family.
