WHAT WE DO
Expeditions of Empowerment, Inc. uses a variety of seasonal outdoor adventures as the means by which to teach under-resourced youth critical social-emotional skills that will enable them to maintain healthy relationships with peers and adults, and make decisions that will create more positive outcomes in their lives.
HOW WE DO IT
We capitalize on the power of small group dynamics, physical accomplishment, and experiential learning to develop five key skill-sets (self awareness, interpersonal communications, conflict resolution, problem solving, and acceptance/empathy) and to establish positive associations with hard work and nature.WHO WE SERVE
We serve the communities of New York’s Greater Rochester Area, supporting adolescents whose personal and academic achievement are hindered by a lack of positive social-emotional skills.
