Working with children has been a primary focus for Danielle since 1999, when she worked as a counselor and program director at Forrestel Farm Camp (Medina, New York). Danielle is currently a 7th grade English Language Arts teacher and cross country coach in the Newark Central School District (Newark, New York). During her seventeen years of experience, Danielle has worked with diverse groups of students and athletes at both the middle and high school levels. Danielle is a leader in her district, and has served as department supervisor and PBIS (Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports) program leader. Danielle holds a BA in English, and a Master’s Degree in English Education. She is a certified lifeguard and Basic Life Support Provider (CPR, AED, First Aid). Danielle is an avid athlete who has competed at the elite level in triathlon and is currently a competitive cyclist. Danielle uses her athletic experiences to help teach children the values of goal-setting, dedication, teamwork, and perseverance.
